I'm Ana — a Registered Nurse with 29 years of clinical experience and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant since 2017. I see families at my Boulder and Lafayette offices, in their homes, and virtually throughout Colorado.
I've also completed the Institute for the Advancement of Breastfeeding and Lactation Education's two-year Deep Dive course in breastfeeding medicine — a clinical program covering low milk supply, the hormonal and metabolic conditions that affect lactation, medically complex and premature infants, and the situations where standard positioning advice isn't enough. Most lactation consultants don't have this training. It's why families who've already tried other support often end up here.

What happens during a lactation visit?
I assess latch, positioning, and feeding, complete an oral exam of your baby, and do a weighted feed when possible. A personalized care plan is sent later that day, and notes are faxed to your providers.
Are visits covered by insurance?
Yes — I’m in-network with United, Aetna, Cigna, and Colorado Medicaid. Your visit is fully covered, and you only pay the travel fee for in-home care.
Do you offer virtual consultations?
Yes. Virtual visits are ideal for follow-ups, pumping support, flange sizing, bottle feeding, starting solids and for anyone who lives outside of my travel area. A care plan is sent after the visit.
How soon can I be seen?
Most families are seen within a few days. You can book online anytime.
Office & In-Home Lactation Support Based in Lafayette, Colorado
I offer in-office lactation visits in Lafayette, welcoming families from surrounding communities who prefer a calm, fully equipped space for feeding support.
In-home visits are typically available within approximately 15 miles of my Lafayette office, including Erie, Boulder, Louisville, Longmont, Broomfield, and nearby areas. Need support farther away? Extended travel may be available for an additional travel fee.
Virtual Visits Statewide
Online lactation consultations are available to families throughout Colorado.
Insurance Coverage
Many lactation visits are covered at 100% by:
• United Healthcare
• Aetna
• Cigna
• Medicaid (Colorado)
• UMR
Health First Colorado (Medicaid): Visits are covered in full with no cost to you. I see Medicaid families at my office or by telehealth — I'm not able to charge Medicaid members the travel fee, so in-home visits aren't available under this plan. A referral from your or your baby's provider is required before your visit.
Travel fees apply for in-home visits. All visit summaries and care plans are sent to your providers for coordinated care.
